Great Stroke: Daniel Gets 5 Hits
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Mike Daniel. Daniel went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Hamilton pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Hamilton Park, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Ottawa Capitals had a win, 11-1, over the Tigers.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Mike Daniel hit a solo-shot off Omar Sanchez in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Yoshiyasu Obata in the 9th.
Currently Daniel is batting .319 with 23 hits and 4 home runs. He has knocked in 11 runs and scored 11 times.
