Atlanta (R) Wins Cup Qualifier Wednesday, October 7th , 2020 It was a rousing finish to the Cup Qualifier at PBC Rookie Development Complex today. The Atlanta (R) Pilots sent the Detroit (R) Motors home for the season with a 8-1 win in the decisive game of the series. The Pilots took the series 3-2. Up next on their schedule is the Championship Cup. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Atlanta (R) center fielder Antonio Varela. His numbers included a .500 batting average, 2 RBIs and 5 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Championship Cup," he said. The Championship Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Cup Qualifier finishes.
