R Best Hitter Trophy Goes to Gilstrap Thursday, October 1st , 2020 When Josh Gilstrap stepped up to the plate in September he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the PBC Rookie Complex League Batter of the Month award. The young Detroit (R) shortstop posted a .382 batting average with 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 28 runs. Gilstrap also worked pitchers for 13 walks to post a .449 on-base percentage. This season, Gilstrap is batting .310 with 117 hits, 17 home runs, 45 RBIs, .390 OBP and has scored 79 runs. |
