Tampa Bay (R) Secures Top Spot in Rookie Complex League South Division Wednesday, September 30th , 2020 Say what you want about the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder and their abilities on the baseball diamond. Nobody can question their ability to celebrate a division title. The music was loud and the adult beverages were flowing tonight as the Thunder officially clinched the Rookie Complex League South Division. "You concentrate so hard on winning the division, so it's nice to finally be here and be able to enjoy it," said shortstop Diederick van Wingerden, whose championship t-shirt was drenched. "It's probably going to be a long night." Tampa Bay (R) clinched the division with a record currently sitting at 52-35. It is the 6th division championship in team history and will give the Thunder the opportunity to go for their 1st PBC Rookie Complex League championship. |
