R Star of the Week Announced Monday, September 21st , 2020 When it came to hitting the baseball, David Spink was in a class by himself in the PBC Rookie Complex League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding catcher for Los Angeles (R) tagged opposing pitchers for a .448 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 13 hits in 29 at-bats, 2 homers, 5 runs scored and 7 RBIs. Spink is hitting .278 this year with 14 home runs, 38 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 324 at-bats, 22 walks and a .331 on-base percentage. Spink has played in 78 games. |
