Injury Sidelines Hector Rodriguez For Year Friday, September 18th , 2020 The doctors have spoken and Hector Rodriguez of the Miami (R) Sun Sox didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rodriguez sustained his season-ending injury during the San Francisco (R) Peanuts game yesterday at PBC Rookie Development Complex. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Miami (R) medical staff reported Rodriguez had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months. On the season, Rodriguez has 3 wins and 3 losses and a 2.36 ERA. |
