Cital Sidelined for 8 Months Tuesday, September 8th , 2020 The Union received bad news this morning. Andres Cital will miss 8 months due to a ruptured disc. He sustained the injury in the Chicago (R)-Detroit (R) game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Cital sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." In 13 starts this year, Cital has posted 7 wins while suffering 1 loss. He has pitched 68 innings, allowed 64 hits, struck out 67 and has a 3.71 ERA. |
