Washington (R)'s Platero to Miss Season Thursday, August 13th , 2020 Washington (R) starting pitcher Luis Platero suffered a season-ending injury throwing a pitch in today's game against the Mavericks. According to club doctors Platero has a torn meniscus. Although Platero has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. This season, Platero has worked 33 innings with 32 strikeouts en route to a 0-6 record and a 7.36 ERA. |
