R Names Top Player of the Week Monday, August 3rd , 2020 Philadelphia (R) fans have something to crow about today as Philadelphia (R) shortstop Adam Wiser nabbed the PBC Rookie Complex League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Wiser. He posted a .600 average (18-for-30) this past week with 6 home runs, 14 RBIs, and 11 runs scored. At present, Wiser is batting .400 and has collected 14 home runs, 35 RBIs, .505 OBP and scored 45 runs. |
