Diablos Mercado Lost for Year Saturday, July 4th , 2020 The season is ending on a bad note for Alejandro Mercado, starting pitcher for the El Paso (R) Diablos. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Mercado was hurt against the Philadelphia (R) Keystones while throwing a pitch. He suffered a damaged elbow ligament and will be out for at least 13-14 months. For the season, Mercado has compiled a 1-0 record with a 2.12 ERA. |
