Niemier Selected Manager of the Year in R Thursday, October 29th , 2020 Manager Mike Niemier was speaking before a Atlanta (R) fan luncheon when word came down that he'd been awarded the PBC Rookie Complex League Manager of the Year. Niemier's face turned to surprise as the club's owner made the hasty announcement. "Wow... how lucky can a guy be? Manage a great bunch of guys... have great fans... have a great season... and now this... life don't get any better than this." Atlanta (R) fans applauded, recognizing how fortunate they were to have Niemier at the helm. Both fans and players in attendance toasted their skipper as they truly enjoyed the day. 2020 was an extra-special season for Niemier as he piloted the Atlanta (R) Pilots to a 51-37 record and a second place spot in the Rookie Complex League South Division standings. A record good enough to win the 2020 Manager of the Year Award. |
