Liberty Starter Wins EAC Pitching Award Tuesday, September 1st , 2020 The Pitcher of the Month Award in August has been selected and the Eastern Amateur Circuit honor went to Manhattan hurler, Matt Welch. For his excellent performance he has been named the league's top pitcher. During the month, Welch was superb with a 2.13 ERA and 3 wins and 1 loss. In 42.1 innings he struck out 50 and gave up 35 hits and 18 walks. This season, Welch shows a 6-2 record in 13 games, 85.2 innings, 87 strikeouts, and a 2.10 ERA. |
