Leo Alonzo Wallops 3 Homers for Titans Thursday, August 27th , 2020 It was a good day for the Long Beach Titans and an exceptional one for Leo Alonzo. The 28-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Titans beat the Fort Wayne Farmers, 14-4, at Farmers Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Alonzo said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 7 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Leo Alonzo hit a three-run home run off Jon Bryant in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jamie Bick in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jamie Bick in the 8th. Alonzo is hitting .242 for the season with 20 home runs, 58 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has 81 hits in 335 at-bats and played in 112 games. |
