Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for French Monday, August 10th , 2020 Manchester lost to the Franklin Knights, 6-5, at Manchester Park, but Isaiah French kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Monarchs first baseman has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Isaiah has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Manchester manager Leon Fontein told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Isaiah French struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 7th. For the season, French is currently batting .344 with 11 home runs and 48 RBIs. In 72 games he has reached base at a .423 rate and scored 55 runs to date. |
