Ogawa 5-for-6 for Manchester Wednesday, August 5th , 2020 Manchester shortstop Koji Ogawa had a big day at Farmers Field against the Fort Wayne Farmers. The 28-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 13-7 Monarchs triumph over Fort Wayne. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Ogawa said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Koji Ogawa singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ricky Silva in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
