Gray Clobbers 3 HR Against Battalion Monday, July 27th , 2020 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Grays-Battalion game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. Providence first baseman Ryan Gray thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Providence to a win, 9-8, over Boston. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Gray said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Gray, who is tied for 4th in the EAC with a .960 OPS, was 4-for-4 on the day with 6 RBI. Ryan Gray hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ricco Pirovano in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ricco Pirovano in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rodolfo Chaparro in the 6th and walked in the 8th. In the current season, Gray has put up a .297 batting average with 100 hits, 23 home runs, 49 RBI and scored 64 runs. |
