Year Over for Oilers Vallaual
Friday, July 17th , 2020
The doctors have spoken and Jonathan Vallaual of the Oil City Oilers didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old second baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Vallaual sustained his season-ending injury during the Fort Wayne Farmers game yesterday at Farmers Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the Oil City medical staff reported Vallaual had a concussion and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7-8 months.
For the year, Vallaual has hit .267 with no home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 6 runs.
