Hollywood-New Orleans Fight Results in Suspensions Sunday, June 7th , 2020 Yesterday at Bucco Ballpark Jordan Orellana and Georges Pastor got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Hollywood Stars and New Orleans Buccaneers. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Orellana will have to sit out 5 while Pastor would be given a 3-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. A look at his current stats shows Orellana with a .242 average, 9 home runs, 24 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has played in 59 games. Pastor has taken the mound for 2 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-3 record with a 5.09 ERA. The New Orleans reliever has limited opposing batters to a .262 batting average. |
