Grant on Fire: 5-for-6 for St. Louis Thursday, July 30th , 2020 Fans at The Lions Hearth got to see not only a home-team victory, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The St. Louis Lions outplayed the New York City Blues en route to a 5-4 win, but the standout was second baseman Jayden Grant. Grant netted 5 hits in 6 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Blues manager Elliot Brown said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Jayden Grant singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
