Pro Circuit Cup to El Paso Monday, October 26th , 2020 For the El Paso Diablos, it was a joyful time; for the San Francisco Peanuts, it was gloom and doom. With a 5-2 win at Inferno Field, El Paso closed out the championship 4-3 over San Francisco. The Diablos have now won their 6th league championship in franchise history. The streets around the Diablos' stadium were a mob scene, filling quickly with fans, while banners and flags were held high and waved proudly. "It's unbelievable for us, our great fans, and all of El Paso," said a smiling owner Rick Peters. "The guys really put their heart and soul into this season and it paid off for them." In a somewhat somber and dejected Peanuts clubhouse, manager Keven Berman said his team "just didn't get the job done." "The Diablos played as good as any team I've seen and deserve to be champions," he said. The champs finished the regular season 51-37 and claimed third place in the PBC West Division.
