Thrice as Nice: San Francisco On Verge of Sweep after Walk-off Win
The San Francisco Peanuts are now one game away from a sweep of the St. Louis Lions after a dramatic walk-off win in the 14th inning at Garibaldi's Grounds. Peanuts first baseman Cole Blatchford earned props in the 5-4 victory for a strong outing in which he went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. San Francisco holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Cup Qualifier.

San Francisco got a clutch hit from Travis McCombs. The center fielder launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 7 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"This place was rockin'," McCombs said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Garibaldi's Grounds in San Francisco.
