Pitcher Jon Brandman was rock solid in helping the Denver Cutthroats beat the Houston Mavericks, 7-0. Denver has now won 3 straight, while the Mavericks have lost 3 in a row.

The Cutthroats got a big hit from center fielder Jonathan Swift. Facing Houston pitcher Jayden Johnson in the bottom of the eighth, Swift pounded a 3-run home run to right-center. His 8th home run of the season put the Cutthroats ahead, 7-0.

"Jon is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Denver manager Tyler Montgomery.
