Miami Bats Quiet in 9-1 Loss
Andy Whalen had an impact in the 9-1 Boston win over Miami. The 26-year old first baseman was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Boston pitcher John Leew got the win. He's now 6-6. Corey Frank was tagged with the loss. Boston, at 36-49, holds down 8th place in the PBC East Division.

Jon Nelson went 1-1 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Boston. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Corey Frank. It was his 6th walk of the season.
