Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Atlanta Pilots take on the Detroit Motors.

Starting pitcher Arturo Jones pitched well enough to help the Atlanta Pilots beat the Detroit Motors, 7-3. Jones yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 8-6.

Atlanta took a 5-1 lead on Jeremy Coralic's 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Coralic hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Detroit pitcher Ryan Carroll visibly frustrated.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Jones.

Atlanta is now 34-45, Detroit 45-34.
