The Denver Cutthroats picked up a win at Blues Field, knocking off the New York City Blues, 6-4. Starting pitcher Jon Brandman was a big reason why. Denver reliever Won-keun Baek, who finished 5th in the PBC in saves with 16 in 2014, was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-5. David Stewart took the loss for New York City. The 6th-place Cutthroats have won 7 in a row.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Mario Sanchez? The slick-fielding shortstop Sanchez stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put Denver up, 6-4. For the game, he was 4 for 5, including 1 double and 3 singles.
