In a low-scoring contest between the San Francisco Peanuts and the Dallas Texans, Leo Canales was the X factor. The San Francisco right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Canales got the win, improving to 8-5. He gave up 10 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The victory gives the Peanuts a record of 41-32.

Travis McCombs had a big solo home run for the Peanuts in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Francisco leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he got a changeup from Gart Jansen and swatted a home run to left. It was his 15th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Peanuts ahead, 3-0.

Canales said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
