In a tight tilt between the New York City Blues and the Dallas Texans, Mike Sunshine was the deciding factor. The New York City left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. David Stewart collected his 8th save.

Sam Abel helped out the New York City cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3 with a double.

Abel told reporters after the game: "This one was touch and go, but we were able to put it in the win column."

The 5th-place Blues hiked their record to 20-22.
