Sun Sox Absorb 7-2 Loss at Blues Field

The New York City Blues polished off the Miami Sun Sox by the score of 7-2. The largest share of the credit belonged to right fielder Joaquin Alvarez. Alvarez went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times for the Blues. With the loss, Miami falls to 3-1.
Josh Leavens, who finished 4th in the PBC in batting average with .326 in 2010, took Miami hurler Drew Conroy deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Blues on top, 4-2. In all, Leavens had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Alvarez told the New York City Herald.
