Sun Sox Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
|
Toronto center fielder Matt Kelly had a good game, even if his team did not. The Titans dropped a 5-4 decision to Miami at Sun Sox Stadium. Kelly was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win lifted the Miami record to 15-13.
Miami took a 5-4 lead on Zack Cotham's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Cotham hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Toronto pitcher Quincy Brooks visibly frustrated.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Toronto manager Chris Barrett. "But we decided not to take it."
