The Chicago Union downed the San Francisco Peanuts, 19-7. The hitting star was right fielder Jay Clinkscales. Clinkscales went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for the Union. Sergio Hernandez was the winner. He's now 3-2. The loser was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Asvarya Kabir. The second-place Union have won 4 straight games.

With Chicago leading 9-0 in the top of the fifth, Clinkscales came up to bat against San Francisco pitcher Garrett Seiter. Clinkscales hit a sinker to right for a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season put the Union on top, 13-0.
