The Las Vegas Aces got a superb performance from pitcher Marcos Arturo, but the Chicago Union still won the game, 4-2. Arturo threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Danny Brannigan earned the save for Chicago, his 2nd. Chicago, now 8-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Nate Bartlett helped out the Chicago cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Bartlett after the game.
