Fabela Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, September 10th , 2019 The El Paso (R) Diablos downed the Los Angeles (R) Knights, 10-8, at PBC Rookie Development Complex, in spite of the best efforts of Los Angeles (R) shortstop Jonathan Fabela. Fabela lashed the ball all over the park in a 6-hit explosion, finishing with a 6-for-9 line -- and a loss. "I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," he said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter." Asked if he would adjust his strategy next time the Diablos face Fabela, El Paso (R) manager Ryan Skinner said "absolutely not." "Our strategy was to not give him good pitches to hit," he said. "We didn't do that, and he worked us over. Thankfully, we won anyway, and next time we'll pitch to him better." Jonathan Fabela singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Alex Circiu in the 9th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Circiu in the 12th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Jaramillo in the 14th, flied out in the 16th and grounded out in the 18th.
