Hammarlund Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, September 4th , 2019 Bill Hammarlund ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at PBC Rookie Development Complex, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Toronto (R) Titans dropped the game, 1-0, to the El Paso (R) Diablos. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Hammarlund said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Bill Hammarlund grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This year, Hammarlund has socked 87 hits in 267 at-bats for a .326 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .372 pace and his totals also include 50 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
