Hit Parade: Venturo Pops 5 Hits Thursday, August 22nd , 2019 Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Philadelphia (R) Keystones catcher Phil Venturo, who missed the team's pre-game session at PBC Rookie Development Complex but peppered the Chicago (R) Union for 5 hits come game time. The Keystones went on to grab the 21-14 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Phil Venturo hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ferri Brouwer in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
