Murillo Blisters San Francisco (R) Tuesday, July 30th , 2019 It was a good day for the Thunder at PBC Rookie Development Complex as they clipped the San Francisco (R) Peanuts, 18-8. It was tremendous day for Enrique Murillo, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Tampa Bay (R) third baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Enrique Murillo singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Sergio Reyes in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This year, Murillo has socked 56 hits in 149 at-bats for a .376 average with 12 home runs. He is getting on base at a .469 pace and his totals also include 36 RBIs and 28 runs scored. View Boxscore |
