Murillo Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, July 23rd , 2019 Tampa Bay (R) Thunder third baseman Enrique Murillo had a day to remember at PBC Rookie Development Complex, ripping apart the New York City (R) Blues and sparking the 9-8 Thunder win. Murillo wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Murillo told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Enrique Murillo doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Robert van Iersel in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Leo Garcia in the 9th.
