5-Hit Blitz by Wansley Sunday, September 30th , 2018 Fans at PBC Rookie Development Complex got to see not only a home-team victory, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Chicago (R) Union outplayed the New York City (R) Blues en route to a 5-4 win, but the standout was shortstop Pat Wansley. Wansley netted 5 hits in 8 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Blues manager Hee-seop Kim said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Pat Wansley singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, struck out in the 12th, singled in the 14th and hit an RBI single in the 16th.
