Washington (R) Stops Villegas Hit Streak Saturday, September 28th , 2019 Tampa Bay (R) second baseman Danny Villegas experienced something against the Washington (R) Warriors he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Warriors pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 24 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Thunder to a 6-1 victory at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 24-game hitting streak," Villegas joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." Thus far this year, Villegas has hit .293 with 10 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
