Jefferson Earns WAC's Best Pitcher Honor Sunday, September 1st , 2019 Sometimes relievers are treated like second class citizens, most of the time the award goes to the starters, but not this month. A reliever, Isaiah Jefferson, has been named the Pitcher of the Month in the Western Amateur Circuit. In August, the El Paso relief specialist stood out with 2 saves in 9 relief appearances, a 5-0 won-lost mark and 3.38 ERA. He worked 16 innings, allowed 14 hits, struck out 19 and walked 4. To date in 14 relief appearances, Jefferson has recorded 3 saves while posting an ERA of 5.73 and 26 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched. His totals for the year also include 5 wins and 2 losses. |
