Garza on Fire, 5-for-6 Against St. Petersburg Friday, August 9th , 2019 After a 5-hit effort to lead Franklin's 7-6 victory over the St. Petersburg Pelicans, left fielder Jose Garza told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Amateur Baseball Circuit-level is really something special." The 25-year-old player earned his accolades at Ballpark of St. Petersburg with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Pelicans. "His swing is getting there," said Knights skipper Tony Flores, who spoke glowingly of Garza after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Jose did that to perfection." Jose Garza struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 10th.
