Hall Jacks 3 into the Stands Friday, July 19th , 2019 Albuquerque Coyotes center fielder Marty Hall sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the El Paso Mavericks, Hall told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Hall pushed the Coyotes past the Mavericks, 6-2. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Hall told reporters after the game. Marty Hall hit a solo-shot off Malik Spruill in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Malik Spruill in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Justin Goldman in the 8th. Hall is hitting .284 this year with 19 home runs, 49 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has 88 hits in 310 at-bats, 37 walks and a .361 on-base percentage. Hall has played in 84 games. |
