Spruill Muzzles San Diego Offense Wednesday, July 3rd , 2019 In a seemingly effortless performance, Malik Spruill of the El Paso Mavericks shot down the San Diego Aztecs, 8-0, on 5 hits. "Malik was just locating so well and using his pitches," El Paso manager Matt Reuben said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Spruill recorded 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," San Diego manager Jason Thompson said in postgame comments to BNN.
