"Danny was just locating so well and using his pitches," Brooklyn manager Justin Perry said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Lara recorded 4 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Long Beach manager Jimmy Herman said in postgame comments to BNN.
