Tampa Bay (R) Crowned Kings of the Rookie Complex League South Division Sunday, September 23rd , 2018 The Tampa Bay (R) Thunder are trying to accomplish something that's never been done before - hosting a Championship Cup parade in the city of Tampa Bay (R). They've taken the big first step, winning the Rookie Complex League South Division title. "We want to win a championship, that's our ultimate goal and something our franchise deserves," said third baseman Javy Torres. "Our coaches, GM and ownership have been behind us, it's time to make that effort pay off." The club's record sits at 50-31 and it is the 4th time they've won the division title. Team manager Brandon Land said it will be the "accomplishment of a lifetime" if he can lead the team to a championship. "It's what we've been working towards for so long," he said. |
