The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Pilots starting pitcher suffered bone chips in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Philadelphia (R) Keystones. Team doctors said it would take at least 7 months to heal. In 10 starts this year, Kung has posted 2 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 40 innings, allowed 36 hits, struck out 28 and has a 3.83 ERA. |
