7 Hits for Pilots Sanders Thursday, July 5th , 2018 Chris Sanders exploded for a barrage of base hits at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The Atlanta (R) third baseman had a field day in his team's 20-4 triumph over the Las Vegas (R) Aces, finishing 7-for-7. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Sanders must have focused at least 7 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Chris Sanders singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Gerrie Roorda in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Gerrie Roorda in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
