Dyess on Fire, 6-for-6 Against Denver (R) Wednesday, June 27th , 2018 A jubilant Ed Dyess joined the postgame press conference at PBC Rookie Development Complex to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Denver (R) Cutthroats pitching staff he had just vanquished. "It may not have looked like it," said the Las Vegas (R) Aces shortstop, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different." That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 6-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 18-13 Aces win. "He made it look easy," said Greg Molloy, manager of the Cutthroats. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously." Ed Dyess hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
