Manager Newton Axed by El Paso (R) Diablos Wednesday, June 27th , 2018 Dylan Newton has managed his last game with the El Paso (R) Diablos. Newton met with team officials yesterday and his termination was officially announced today in a prepared statement from club general manager . "Dylan Newton has done an admirable job here, but I think it's time to go in another direction," the statement read. "At the end of the day, we just aren't getting the results we want with Dylan and at this point we're willing to try to turn things around with a new manager." A replacement has yet to be named, but a decision is expected to come forward shortly. Team owner The owner of the El Paso (R) Diablos told BNN that the team had only been contemplating a managerial shift in the past week. Newton left the clubhouse quietly upon learning the news and refused to comment when pressed by reporters. |
