2018 Premier Player Picked By R Tuesday, October 30th , 2018 The future looks extremely bright for Alfredo Zamarripa. At the age of 19, many players are still trying to find their way in PBC Rookie Complex League. Zamarripa has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the PBC Rookie Complex League Most Valuable Player Award. "I didn't expect to hit .390 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said. The Philadelphia (R) Keystones star also put up a .511 on-base percentage this year, with 126 hits, 34 doubles, 1 triple, 31 home runs, 91 RBIs and 90 runs scored. He received 18 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Pat Wansley of the Chicago (R) Union finished second in voting, while Stephen Barker of the San Francisco (R) Peanuts finished third.
