Brookshire Grabs EAC Reliever of the Year Award Monday, September 24th , 2018 Dusty Brookshire was a calming influence out of the Franklin Knights bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 26-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Eastern Amateur Circuit Reliever of the Year Award for 2018. The Visalia, California native won the award with 9 saves in 43 relief appearances, 57 strikeouts in 61 innings and a record of 11-6 to go with his 3.39 ERA. He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 20. Devin Thomas of the Manhattan Liberty finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Francisco Zuleta of the Manchester Monarchs finished third with 1 first place vote.
